Mission

As Australia’s first private University, Bond University seeks to be recognised internationally as a leading independent university, imbued with a spirit to innovate, a commitment to influence and a dedication to inspire tomorrow’s professionals who share a personalised and transformational student experience.

Values

  • Respect and concern for students and colleagues.
  • Truth, inquiry and the pursuit of advanced knowledge.
  • Excellence in everything we do and pride in achievements.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork.
  • Accountability for performance, actions and learning.
  • Productive engagement between students and staff.

Strategic Plan

Our Strategic Plan Steering Committee and management team has revisited and refreshed our overarching mission statement. They have delivered a plan that reaffirms the values that underpin our core business of providing our students with a uniquely personalised and transformational experience.

Our plan of action is built on five key pillars:

  • Growing our educational product portfolio with high quality, flexible and sustainable offerings
  • Expanding our global focus and reach through international partnerships and benchmarking
  • Elevating our reputation and influence by focusing on research, external partnerships and our ability to attract world-renowned academics
  • Maintaining and building on the unique Bond student experience
  • Leveraging our partnerships with alumni, industry bodies and thewider community

As we look forward we are mindful of the challenges faced by Australia’s education sector, and our own international competitiveness, in the current economic landscape.

The 2013 - 2017 Strategic Plan provides us with a clear direction and a blueprint for action that will allow us to meet these challenges head on as we prepare to celebrate Bond’s landmark 25th anniversary in 2014.
