 1994

Awarded Bond University’s John Burton Cadetship Scholarship, combining journalism studies with practical reporting experience at the Gold Coast Bulletin.
 1994-1997Gained further practical experience through internships arranged via Bond lecturers’ industry contacts with RG Capital Radio and Warner Roadshow Studios
 1997Produced Rage of Innocence in conjunction with a Bond film lecturer. The documentary about Schoolies Week aired on the ABC.
Completed Bachelor of Arts and journalism cadetship, thanks to Bond’s three-semesters-per-year schedule and ability to mix work and study Employed full-time by the Gold Coast Bulletin as a graded journalist, covering everything from law and police to film and social rounds
 1999Transferred to The Sunday Telegraph in Sydney – Australia’s biggest-selling newspaper – as a general reporter and food writer
 2001Travelled through Europe, freelancing for Sky News London (online) and QBO Public Relations in London.
 2002Returned to the Gold Coast Bulletin as specialist local government reporter
 2004Won a Walkley Award for reporting on the Gold Coast City Council elections
 2005Established home-based freelance writing business, which allows her to further her career while raising a young family
 2012 Regular columnist for the Gold Coast Bulletin and the Courier Mail.
 2013Regular columnist for the Gold Coast Bulletin and the Sunday Mail
