In his second year of study at Bond, David was selected to travel to Africa to undertake a four-week clinical practicum at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Clinic in Tanzania.

Worked with Central Coast Mariners (A League) and Cricket NSW
2008

Commenced Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University, attracted by the fast-tracked nature of the two-year, doctorate-level program and the unprecedented amount of clinical training and research involved

Developed professional relationships and a knowledge of the sports physiotherapy field as Bond’s representative on Sports Physiotherapy Australia’s Queensland committee

Assisted physiotherapy team at Gold Coast Marathon – arranged through Bond professor’s industry connections
2009

Assisted physiotherapy team at the ITU World Triathlon Championships, the Gold Coast Marathon and as a sports trainer at the Australian University Games

Selected to travel to Africa to undertake a four-week placement at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Tanzania – the first clinical placement of its kind for Australian physiotherapy students
2010

Undertook clinical internship at Nambour General Hospital and participated in research project with Dr Susan Keays

Graduated with DPT in May and secured position as physiotherapist with Leap Health Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre in Hobart, Tasmania
