Jaclyn Szkwara

D Phty Alumnus

Impressed by Bond's small class sizes and personalised, hands-on approach to studies, Jaclyn moved from Canada to undertake a Doctor of Physiotherapy and was one of the inaugural graduates of the program.

2004Completed Bachelor of Kinesiology, Minor of Religious Studies at McMaster University in Canada
2005
Gained certification as a STOTT Pilates Instructor and participated in extensive research in Spinal Cord Injuries and Body-weight Supported Treadmill Training
2007

Moved to Australia, and commenced studying the Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University; impressed by small, personalised classes and hands-on practical training

Received several academic achievements awards, including six First in Class awards and being placed on the Vice-Chancellors High Achievers list every semester
2008

Undertook a variety of clinical placements including:

Pindara Physiotherapy, working with a wide range of patients from teenagers with sporting injuries through to chronic low back pain

Princess Alexander Hospital Spinal Injuries Unit, working with patients with an acquired spinal injury across a range of cultures and age groups
2009One of the inaugural graduates from Australia’s first graduate entry level Doctor of Physiotherapy program
