2007 | Worked in Bangladesh for a year with CARE Bangladesh as a Regional Documentation Officer as part of the Australian Youth Ambassador for Development, which included a secondment as an information management officer to the devastating Cyclone Sidr. |
2009 | Deployed to the conflict affected Mindanao region in the Philippines with the World Food Programme for three months as a Field Monitor, and then secured a contract in northern Lebanon with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for a year as a donor Reporting Officer. |
2011 | Following a deployment to Pakistan with UNICEF in late 2010, commenced as the roving humanitarian Information Manager with Oxfam Great Britain, deploying to Mexico and Guatemala for capacity building/training, Liberia and Senegal to manage the information stemming from the refugee crisis in the Ivory Coast, and Kenya and Ethiopia in response to the food crisis brought on by the worst drought in 60 years. |
2012 | Deployed to Kenya to work on a communications strategy and internal evaluation, and from there to South Sudan to set up information management systems for the humanitarian response to the conflict with Sudan. In July, deployed to Yemen for three months to manage the information stemming from the expanded humanitarian response to the food insecurity and conflict crises across the country. |
