Katrina Elliot

Year Milestone

 2000

Commenced dual degrees in Arts (International Relations and French) and Law at Bond, attracted by the flexibility in course and subject combinations.
 2002 Studied at Universite Robert Schuman in Strasbourg, France, arranged through Bond’s International Student Exchange Program
Undertook an internship with NoviMost International in Bosnia, receiving credits towards Bond degree
 2006 Graduated from Bond having completed four qualifications – Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Masters of International Relations and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice – thanks to Bond’s accelerated timetable.
Admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland
 2008 Worked as a volunteer on the Phoenix Project in Guatemala
 2009 Appointed Child Protection Officer, Australian Youth Ambassador for Development/UNICEF, based in Papua New Guinea.
 2010 Joined Plan International as Protection Project Manager/Specialist, working as part of the international response to the devastating 2010 earthquake
 2011 Returned to Australia as International Humanitarian Law Officer for the Australian Red Cross.
 2010 Appointed delegate to the International Committee of the Red Cross and undertook short-term Child Protection Specialist role with UNICEF in Democratic Republic of Congo.
