2008 | Gained high level international work experience by undertaking an internship with the Australian Consulate General in Los Angeles, USA; facilitated by Faculty staff at Bond Graduated with dual International Relations and Law qualifications, including majors in Global Governance and Diplomacy and First Class Honours in Law |
2009 | Following advice from Bond’s Career Development Centre counsellor, successfully applied for a graduate traineeship with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Travelled to Seoul to help negotiate the Australia-Korea Free Trade Agreement |
2010 | Posted as Third Secretary to the Australian High Commission in Honiara, Solomon Islands, responsible for all economic, trade and commercial matters, and public diplomacy |
2011 - 2013 | Promoted to Second Secretary, having been involved with visits to Solomon Islands by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Australian Governor General Quentin Bryce and Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr Returned to Pacific Division in DFAT headquarters in Canberra |
