| 1993 | Enrolled in Bond’s Bachelor of Law degree. Bonds flexible part-time study option enabled him to continue working as a police officer |
| 1999 | Admitted to the Supreme Court as a barrister. Commenced Master of Criminology at Bond, once again studying part-time while also completing a Diploma of Policing and Advanced Diploma of Investigative Practice through the Queensland Police Service |
| 2001 | Commenced PhD at Bond, undertaking research on “A Sociological and Criminological Approach to Understanding Evil” |
| 2002 | Promoted to Detective Senior Sergeant at the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch. |
| 2006 | Completed PhD which resulted in the publication of his first book, “Valhalla’s Warriors” |
| 2009 | Continues to lecture part-time at Bond as a Teaching Fellow in the Criminology department while using his knowledge to advance law enforcement in the police force |
