Year Milestone
 1987-1990 Served as infantry officer-cadet in The Netherlands’ Royal Military Academy.
 1990-1994 Completed a Masters degree in Public Administration at Leiden University in the Netherlands.
 1995–1997 Enrolled in Bond’s Master of Criminology degree, attracted by the great facilities, low student:staff ratio and value for money
Gained practical insight working with Queensland Police and university-based researchers as Bond’s representative on the Queensland Police Service Crime Prevention Working Party
Benefitted from small personalised classes and mentoring from lecturers and professors.
Completed Masters degree in just 16 months, thanks to Bond’s accelerated three-semesters-per-year timetable
 1997 Returned to The Netherlands and took up position as policy advisor, project leader and program manager responsible for crime prevention, public safety and crisis management policy in the province of Overijssel.
 2001 Appointed as senior consultant to private sector company DSP-group, which specialises in research, consultancy and management for local, regional, national and European authorities.
 2005 Relocated to Wellington, New Zealand as policy advisor in the Office of the Commissioner for the New Zealand Police
 2006-2007 Returned to the Netherlands and continued working as senior consultant with DSP-group, focusing on crime prevention and public safety.
 2008 Appointed as senior policy advisor to the Dutch Police force’s Council of Chief Commissioners, responsible for national policy on high impact and high volume crime.
 2012 Appointed as Project Manager, High Impact Crime, Dutch Police.
