Increase the amount (volume) of recycled waste to 10% of total by December 2010.
 

Waste and Recycling Actions

To achieve the target Bond University will:

• Audit waste to determine what can be reduced, reused or recycled.
• Draft a Waste Management Policy
• Draft a Sustainable Purchasing Policy
• Undertake recycling trials:
• Hospitality tecycling trial began in December 2009
• Office recycling trial began in January 2010
   

Waste and Recycling Progress

The graph below shows the total amount of general waste produced by the University and the volume of waste recycled as a percentage of the total.  As recycling bins are implemented across the campus, the rate of recycling has been increasing, as can be seen below.
