OLT Awards and GrantsThe Office for Learning and Teaching is a government funded body dedicated to improving the student learning experience by supporting quality teaching and practice in higher education. OLT supports outstanding teaching and practice through a suite of award, fellowship and grant schemes, and provides funding through a major competitive grants scheme for innovation in learning and teaching. What are Citations?- OLT Citations programs recognise teaching excellence and outstanding contributions to student learning at the highest level
- $10,000 is awarded to each successful nomination

The process at Bond University- OLT Initiatives are supported at Bond through the Office of Learning and Teaching
- To assist Bond Staff we have a series of workshops and Kayleen Wood, Academic Developer is available for one-on-one sessions to help refine and submit nominations

An Internal Review Panel convenes twice.- The first meeting reviews nominees papers and provides extensive individual and group feedback.
- The second session is for final edits and the ranking of nominations prior to submission.
The Panel members are past ALTC Award and Grant recipients. The 2011 panel was:- Associate Professor Linda Crane (Chair) HSM

- Associate Professor Amy Kenworthy BUS
- Assistant Professor Allan Stirling HSM
Each panel member commits their time and expertise to this process to ensure that our Bond Staff are proudly nominated and represented. We acknowledge their input and value their contribution. Who should apply in 2012?Faculty Teaching and Learning Grant and Award winners are encouraged to apply for these external awards next year, as the next step in their Academic Careers. Academic or General Staff who have undertaken an original project, run the project for a minimum of three years and have collected evidence that the project has had significant impact on student learning, should apply for this initiative.
