A Coastal Ecology Community Forum

We live in a world where our urban environments continue to grow and the surrounding natural environments diminish. Never has it been more crucial to act sustainably in your community to create a balance between your life, and the life existing around you.

This event allows you to engage with some of the most respected global environmental experts from the Bond University Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture in an open forum to discuss current eco topics impacting your coast.

You’ll learn practical tips on how to tread lightly on your local environment to ensure it has a sustainable future.

Presentations for Discussion:

• Professor Tor Hundloe: When More is Less: The Future of the Gold Coast in the Age of Sustainability

• Associate Professor Ned Wales: Urban Policy for Nature Causes

• Professor Shelley Burgin: Balancing our Backyard Ecosystems

• Professor Daryl McPhee: The Science and Politics of Shark Attacks
