LJ Hooker today announced a key partnership with Bond University, one of Australia’s
leading academic institutions to provide major research and education opportunities.

LJ Hooker is an iconic Australian real estate company with 83 years’ experience in helping
consumers buy, rent, and sell property through 690 LJ Hooker franchises in Australia and
New Zealand.

L. Janusz Hooker, Chief Executive of LJ Hooker said this strategic industry partnership
represents LJ Hooker taking a keen interest in the future of real estate beyond 2012 for
Australian consumers.

“This partnership is a long term investment in helping the next generation of agents and
consumers develop an invaluable understanding of the current trends and behaviours of
property owners and investors including the growing importance of sustainability, energy
efficiency and the impact on real estate.

“The partnership with Bond University covers a number of components including research
collaboration, the exchange of academics and industry experts and a higher level of
professional development programs for agents.

“One of my goals is to improve the professionalism of the real estate industry. Through the
partnership with Bond University, LJ Hooker will produce degree qualified agents with
invaluable expertise of the growing importance of sustainability, energy efficiency and the
impact on real estate,” said Mr Hooker.

Bond University’s Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture works in
collaboration with leading domestic and international industry organisations to deliver
sustainable development, research and investment.

Dr George Earl is the Director of the Institute and is a Professor of Real Estate. He said
the collaboration between LJ Hooker and Bond University will fund research investigating
issues relating to the Australian property market, including housing affordability.

“In recent years, organisations have been implementing responsible and practical
sustainability management initiatives into their business practices. At the Institute, we are
partnering with LJ Hooker to establish executive pathway education programs and
research collaboration initiatives in the areas of sustainability and real estate.

“We are excited to be working with LJ Hooker to provide degree qualified agents and
franchise owners who have the potential of lifting the bar to offer superior service and
knowledge of the industry to their clients and the community.”
