Indigenous art auction to assist community

03 November 2011

More than 50 exquisite Indigenous art pieces will be up for auction at the annual Bond University Indigenous Art Auction, this Saturday, November 5.

Patron of the event and Gold Coast City Gallery Chairman Dr Pat Corrigan AM said he was pleased to support this event as proceeds raised would help to further establish programs to better support the Indigenous community at Bond University.

“The University has launched a range of support programs and scholarships to allow more Indigenous students to successfully complete their high school and tertiary education,” said Dr Corrigan.

“The funds raised at the auction will be used to sustain Indigenous scholarships and provide support to the community on campus in order to ensure students have the best opportunity to succeed.”

Guests will be treated to a three course dinner in the Princeton Ballroom in the University Centre before placing their bids.
