Pro Vice-Chancellor Quality, Teaching, and LearningThe Bond Pro Vice-Chancellor Quality, Teaching, and Learning is responsible for providing leadership and support of teaching across the University, including teaching and learning policy development, and has overall responsibility for the work of the Office of Quality, Teaching, and Learning (QTL). The director of QTL reports to this position. 
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Quality, Teaching, and Learning) Professor Richard Hays Office of Quality, Teaching, and Learning (QTL)The Office of Quality, Teaching, and Learning supports Bond University and its staff in their pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning through services across six key functional areas. Quality, Teaching, and Learning’s Six Key Functional Areas are: - Leading the quality assurance process at Bond University ensuring transparency and performance enhancement.
- Coordinating curriculum review and assurance of learning processes across all disciplines.
- Producing, mentoring and disseminating Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) research.
- Providing learning supports to Bond University undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Inducting new academics and supporting learning and teaching performance development of experienced academics.
- Encouraging and rewarding outstanding contribution to student learning at Bond and at the inter/national level.
The unit reports to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Quality, Teaching, and Learning. Staffing includes both academic and professional staff. More Teaching and Learning CommitteeBond’s Teaching and Learning Committee as a Standing Committee of Academic Senate promotes university-wide procedures, processes and expectations for advancement of Bond University’s aspirations and strategic priorities in enhancing excellence in teaching and learning. The members of the Committee include the Pro Vice -Chancellor Quality, Teaching, and Learning (Chair), Chairs of each of the Faculty Teaching and Learning Committees, Chair of Academic Senate, Director Information Services, Director Human Resources, the Manager Office of Quality, Teaching, and Learning, and a postgraduate and undergraduate student representative. Sub-committees of the Teaching and Learning Committee are appointed from time-to-time to address specific issues such as university-wide assessment practices and changes to the current Student Evaluation System (TEVALS). Faculty Teaching and Learning RepresentativesThese staff lead the Teaching and Learning Committees within their faculties and represent their faculty on the University Teaching and Learning Committee. QTL works with these staff to ensure regular communication about Bond-wide teaching and learning initiatives and to provide faculty-based support in particular areas as required.
