Biography:

Dr. Kennedy has a longstanding interest in research related to all aspects of seniors living, including retirement villages and resorts, and residential aged care. He has spoken at more than 20 international and national conferences on a variety of topics related to seniors housing. As First Chief Investigator, he led the team that recently completed an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Grant valued at AU$800,000 that investigated exercise training in Australian retirement villages. He is currently the First Chief Investigator on this ARC Linkage Grant valued at AU$1.5M that is conducting a triple-bottom line investigation of independent seniors living alternatives in Australia. His research has been published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, the Gerontologist, the Cornell Hotel, Restaurant and Administration Quarterly, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, and the Journal of Public Health.
