Biography:
Pat has been a solicitor since 1967 and has also been involved in the real estate industry continuing a family involvement which goes back over fifty years. Pat is a pioneer in Australia of the retirement village industry. He established Henry Kendall Village in 1984 and by the end of 2005 his group was the largest privately owned retirement village group in New South Wales. It was taken over by a consortium of public companies at that time. Pat is a member of the NSW Executive of the Retirement Village Association as well as being a member of the Executive of the UDIA Chapter on the Retirement Village Industry. He is the Industry Partner Investigator and Chair of the Advisory Group for a major industry and ARC funded study of the retirement village industry now being conducted jointly by the University of Sydney, University of New South Wales and Bond University. He is also a Governor of the Historic Houses Trust of NSW. Pat holds a BA LLM (Hons) and an MBA from the University of Sydney.

Patrick Wilde was recently awarded membership of the Order of Australia in the 2008 Australia Day Honours list “for service to the community particularly through the Millenium Foundation, to the aged care sector through the development of residential facilities and to heritage, medical and environmental organisations.”
