About
the Macquarie Trading Room
The Macquarie Trading Room enables students to experience the latest trading room technology, with access to real time market information and software for simulated trading.
Officially opened by The Hon Anna Bligh MP in May 2007 the Macquarie Trading Room enables students to experience the latest trading room technology, with access to real-time market information and software for simulated trading. This state of the art facility is equipped with internal and external tickers and dual screen technology displaying live and streamed data from Reuters 3000 and Bloomberg Professional.
The Trading Room allows lecturers to set up simulated trading environments for students and adjust the market conditions to demonstrate different market situations and theories. Students gain practical experience in executing deals and managing portfolios, with trading conditions almost identical to those encountered by seasoned financial traders around the world.
Bond University has worked closely with Macquarie to ensure the trading room is the leading facility of its type in Australia.
