| Growth Strategies for Entrepreneurship Ventures ENFB13-300 |
Growth Strategies is designed to provide insights into the problems and opportunities that are involved with entrepreneurial management in a growth situation. It will help you to anticipate and deal with problems that accompany starting and growing an entrepreneurial business. Intended for those who want to start their own business, as well as those wanting to manage an existing business. While these businesses can range in size and type, the emphasis is on managing high growth and pursuing opportunities for sustained growth, rather than efficiently managing ongoing operations. The course will be taught by Matthew Baird. Matthew has extensive experience in managing the growth of entrepreneurial ventures. He has co-founded two successful and profitable high growth ventures, one of which attained annual revenues of over $250,000,000 just 5 years after inception. He also has ongoing interests in another high growth entrepreneurial venture. |

| Professionalising the Family Business ENFB13-301 |
This subject explores the unique challenges and strengths of family firms. Through adopting a learning framework with particular emphasis upon the insights and lessons learned by successful family business leaders, the subject not only helps students heighten their awareness of themselves concerning their future roles in the family firm but also develops an understanding of the governance initiatives proven to assist family enterprises survive generational transition. This course is led by Professor Ken Moores and Dr Justin Craig, the Co-Directors of the Australian Centre for Family Business in Bond’s School of Business. Both instructors are internationally recognized as being at the forefront of family business research and pedagogy. | Financing Entrepreneurial Ventures ENFB13-305 |
Financing Entrepreneurial Ventures is designed to assist existing and nascent entrepreneurs, financiers, business advisors and managers alike in understanding the capital raising process for high growth entrepreneurial ventures. The course focus is on private equity raisings, and exposes students to issues surrounding different sources of finance, deal structure and pricing, and business valuation.
The course is highly experiential and is led by Baden U’Ren, who brings diverse experiences from his own businesses as well as his corporate banking, mezzanine finance, and private equity background. |
