ABOUT THE INDUSTRY
One in every nine people throughout the world is employed by the hotel and tourism industries, which have a combined global worth of $4 trillion a year. The Australian economy depends on hotels, resorts and tourism businesses for a significant portion of export earnings and job creation.
The tourism industry, including hotels and resorts, offers outstanding employment opportunities in both the local and international marketplace, and is the second largest industry in producing overseas funds for Australia.
