| The Asia Pacific Journal of Management publishes original manuscripts on subjects related to general and strategic management in the Asia Pacific region. In line with the increasingly global nature of business and research, the Asia Pacific region is defined broadly, to encompass not only pacific rim countries, but also much of mainland Asia. The areas of general and strategic management are similarly viewed broadly to encompass most functional fields of management and business. Rather than defining research by administrative or functional boundaries, the APJM believes that the research it publishes should be constrained only by impact and relevance. In deciding relevance, the APJM focuses on the extent to which each manuscript addresses matters that pertain to the most fundamental of business questions: "What determines firm success?" The APJM seeks to publish empirical or conceptual research that improves broad understanding of this issue. |

The Journal of Business Ethics publishes original articles from a wide variety of methodological and disciplinary perspectives concerning ethical issues related to business. Since its initiation in 1980, the editors have encouraged the broadest possible scope. The term `business' is understood in a wide sense to include all systems involved in the exchange of goods and services, while `ethics' is circumscribed as all human action aimed at securing a good life. Systems of production, consumption, marketing, advertising, social and economic accounting, labour relations, public relations and organisational behaviour are analysed from a moral viewpoint. The style and level of dialogue involve all who are interested in business ethics - the business community, universities, government agencies and consumer groups.
Speculative philosophy as well as reports of empirical research are welcomed. In order to promote a dialogue between the various interested groups as much as possible, papers are presented in a style relatively free of specialist jargon. |

The Journal of Economics and Finance Education (JEFE) is an electronic publication of The Academy of Economics and Finance. JEFE is a general interest publication, which targets articles in the area of economic and finance education. JEFE invites economic and finance contributions in three main areas: research, instruction, and content. The journal encourages empirical and methodological contributions and will entertain theoretical articles in some instances. The principal criteria for acceptance are (a) the paper's overall quality, (b) its contribution to the fields of economics or finance education, and (c) its potential usefulness to the general interest reader. The manuscript or parts of it must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere while under review by JEFE. The editors need to be notified upon submission if an article with similar content has been or will be published in another journal!
JEFE discourages theoretical articles that are limited to axiomatics or that discuss minor variations of familiar models. Similarly, JEFE has little interest in empirical papers that do not explain the model's theoretical foundations or that exhausts themselves in applying a new or established technique (such as cointegration) to another data set without providing very good reasons why this research is important. |
