AAKRITI
Medicine Student
I love to travel. Despite my desire to see the world, Australia was the last place I ever thought I’d visit. But when the opportunity to come to the Gold Coast to study Medicine knocked on my door, I knew it was destiny!
STUDYING: Medicine
INTERESTS: I love to cook for my friends. It’s the best way to socialise and have fun times together.
HOMETOWN: I have two! New Delhi, India and Toronto, Canada.
DREAM JOB: Working with ‘Doctors without Borders’ would give me great satisfaction. Maybe even going back to India for a while to work in remote villages where being able to see a doctor is rare privilege for the locals.
HOW BOND IS HELPING ME GET THERE: Even though Medicine is a new course here at Bond, it has covered a great deal of areas that will ensure I have skills required to be a good doctor. And as much as I miss the big universities in Canada, Bond, being a smaller university, gives me the opportunity to get to know lots of people. I am part of both the Health Science and Medical Students Association and the Medical Students Society of Bond University. It’s a great way to meet people from other faculties, acquire social and interpersonal skills and actually make a difference in the Bond community.
