Completed high school in New Zealand.

2000

Enrolled in double degree at Bond, attracted by small class sizes and fast-track schedule.

Gained valuable work experience and employer contacts while studying through practicum placements arranged by Faculty at Gold Coast Hospital, Tweed Shire Family Day Care, Gold Coast Family Support Group and Musgrave Special Education Department.

2002

On graduating from Bond, was appointed Co-Director of Miami Community Children’s Centre on the Gold Coast.

2003 Approached by placement contacts at Tweed Shire Family Day Care to work as Child Development Officer.
2005

Appointed In-Home Childcare Coordinator for Gold Coast YMCA Child and Community Services.

Gained further qualifications with Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.

2006 Appointed as Coordinator for Gold Coast YMCA Child and Community Services, working with families providing care for disadvantaged and at-risk children.
