Bisphosphonate associated osteonecrosis of the jaws - an emerging new disease and its severe adverse effect in oncology
The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine Research Committee is pleased to invite you to attend a free public lecture being delivered by a world leading researcher, Dr Patrick H. Warnke, MD DMD, Phd. The lecture will take place on Wednesday 5 November 2008 at 4:30pm, in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, Bond University.
A regular visiting fellow to Bond University, Dr Patrick H. Warnke is based in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Kiel, in Germany. In 2004, Dr Warnke led a team of researchers to "grow" a replacement jaw-bone in a muscle in a patient's back and then grafted it in place.
During his visit to Bond University, Dr Warnke will hold a public lecture on a new emerging disease that affects tumour patients and is a big problem for oncologists. Following the lecture, we invite you to join Dr Warnke and Professor Chris Del Mar, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine in the Gregor Heiner Foyer for light refreshments and further discussion.
