APPLY NOW - 2008 HONOURS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS

The Honours program is a supervised, one-year program of independent research and study culminating in the production of a research thesis and presentation of a research seminar. Performance in the Honours program is graded from Honours Class I (top), through Honours Class II, Division A, and Honours Class II, Division B, to Honours Class III. The Honours program provides a pathway to post-graduate study, typically at the PhD level. Note that successful application for a scholarship to undertake PhD studies usually requires at least an Honours result of Class I.
The Honours program within the Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine aims to help graduates develop skills in:
- Undertaking research
- Project design and management
- Information retrieval and organisation
- Written and oral professional / scientific communication
- Writing grant applications
Students completing the Honours program will have access to:
- Highly experienced, internationally recognised staff to provide supervision.
- Access to high-quality facilities appropriate to research in the biomedical sciences,
- Considerable financial contribution from the Faculty to support the research project ($5000 in 2007).
Scholarships are available students who have graduated with a Bond science undergraduate degree. Applications for scholarships close on 30 November 2007.
