HAVE YOU GOT TYPE II DIABETES?

Researchers at Bond University and the Gold Coast Hospital are seeking volunteers with Type II Diabetes to participate in a research study. Volunteers must be over 18 and willing to participate in a directed exercise program for 12 months. Ideally, volunteers will not currently be exercising regularly, able to walk and not be suffering from any other serious health problems e.g. heart, lung, liver, kidney disorders.
The study, “Predictors of a sustained response to exercise training in patients with Type II Diabetes”, will examine the effects exercise has on the control of diabetes, as well as the function of the heart, blood vessels and overall fitness.
