Institute for Sport Research Centre

Sport today is a multi-billion dollar industry that has an international focus and the ability to cross both lingual and cultural borders. With the advent of globalisation, the sport industry faces new challenges and demands. Issues associated with athlete planning and analysis, identification, drug testing, injury prevention and rehabilitation plus the training of highly skilled and qualified future professionals, need to be addressed and solutions developed.

The Bond University Institute for Sport (BUIS) Research Centre will focus on facilitating research efforts in the various areas of sport and actively promote research opportunities for implementation of new technologies in pilot studies within sport.

The researchers identified within the BUIS Research Centre represent a collaborative team from the Health Sciences & Medicine, Humanities & Social Sciences and Law faculties at Bond University.
