Personal Support
The Student Counsellors at Bond University are responsible for personal counselling, study skills and advocacy. Personal counselling can involve anything from lack of motivation, to depression, to harassment etc.
For students who are unfortunate to experience some personal trauma while studying at Bond the Personal Counsellors, Mark Stringer and Kate Bartlett, are on campus to discuss problems with. This may simply involve a chat about a problem that you are having or may require external assistance that the counsellors can arrange for you.
This is a confidential service which can involve the counsellors speaking to the Registrar, academic staff, academic advisers or to parents on a student's behalf or arranging for extra professional help if it is required.
Advocacy involves the Personal Counsellors, Mr Mark Stringer and Ms Kate Bartlett, acting on behalf of students who may, because of illness or some other serious matter, wish to make application for special consideration regarding assignments, tests, presentations, etc.
