Brett Walker
Director Development & External Relations (Acting)

Mr. Brett Walker has worked in Australia higher education since 1994, when he first commenced at Bond University.

In his current position, Brett is responsible for Bond University’s International Partnerships, including student and staff exchanges, and development of strategic alliances and partnerships. In addition, as Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor for Development and External relations, he is responsible for Alumni Relations, Fundraising and Community Engagement.

Brett has a keen interest in international relations and anthropology, and is passionate about Bond and the opportunities international education offers students.
 

Jason Gotto
Alumni Relations Manager

Jason joined Bond University in 2009, coordinating alumni and industry development within the Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine. In 2010, he shifted roles within the University and joined the Development Office as the Alumni Relations Manager, bringing with him extensive experience in marketing communications, copy writing, event coordination and graphic design.

Felicity Simpson
Alumni Relations Coordinator

Felicity commenced her employment at Bond University in 2010 within the Bond University Function Centre as Conference and Events Supervisor. Her background consists of studies in Journalism and Event Management. Felicity joined the Office of Development & External Relations in 2011 bringing with her a passion and desire to work closely with alumni and continue to connect the global alumni community.

Sharon Solyma
Manager, Community Engagement

Sharon moved from Gold Coast City Council to Bond University in July 2011. She is responsible for a suite of community initiatives encompassing the Bond Talks community lecture series; the Live at Bond free music series; Bond by the Lake; and a range of other community/business and collaborative initiatives with Bond University faculties.

Sharon’s career has spanned local government, higher education, environment, business, the music industry, community development and the non-profit sector, health, and research. She is passionate about building strong, creative, connected and vibrant communities.

Laura Harvey
Development Manager

Laura has extensive experience in Business Development in both the corporate and higher education environment. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Business and Diploma of Management. She has been at Bond since 2007 and is passionate to see the university grow through philanthropy. 

Brett Richardson
Sport & Industry Development Manager

Brett is the Sport and Industry Development Manager at Bond University. After representing Australia in sport for over 12 years, Brett brings his extensive networks in the sporting arena to drive Bonds sporting developments towards the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Brett has worked at Bond University since October 2010.
 

Jessica Hannant
Events Coordinator

Jessica joined the team at Bond University in early 2011 after working as Marketing Manager for a Gold Coast accounting firm for 5 years. She has completed a Bachelor of Business Management (Marketing & Business Communication) and Master of Marketing as well as a Diploma of Event Management, and has extensive experience in event management, stake holder management and marketing.

Susan McCartie
Executive Assistant

Susan joined Bond as Executive Assistant to Director of Development in June 2011. She brings to Bond a broad skill base focusing on excellent customer service and efficient office management. Susan has a sound knowledge of finance systems and provides executive support to the entire Development team.
