| 2003 | Enrolled in Master of Journalism at Bond, attracted by the opportunity to improve English and complete fast-tracked postgraduate degree while experiencing life on the other side of the world. |

| 2004 | Undertook work experience internships at SBS World News in Sydney and ABC’s Stateline program in Brisbane, arranged by Bond lecturer and ABC journalist, Karen Berkman. |
| 2005 | Returned home to Norway and immediately secured temporary job as a journalist for Sogn Avis newspaper. Appointed full-time journalist with Norwegian newspaper, Grenda. |
| 2006 | Freelance feature article selected by leading Norwegian publisher, Gyldendal, to be include in a new national anthology for school curriculum. Finalist in a Western Norway photography competition |
