Mason
Bond College
Hi, I'm Mason and I've been living on the Gold Coast now for four years. My first introduction to Bond was through BUFTA (the Bond University Film & TV Awards), where I won the Gold Coast Filmmaking Award for Best Documentary. Ever since I first got hold of a camera at 13 years of age I couldn't stop making films, and my plan is to finish year 12 as quickly as possible through Bond College, so I can get started on my Bachelor of Film and Television.
STUDYING: Foundation Program at Bond College
INTERESTS: The film and television industry, plus spending time with friends and family.
HOMETOWN: Born in Sydney, but I grew up in Hervey Bay. I moved to the Gold Coast in 2005
DREAM JOB: Movie Director/ Producer
HOW BOND IS HELPING ME GET THERE: For me, Bond College was a better alternative than staying at High School for year 12. Although I enjoyed school, I got tired of the environment and not being able to do subjects that I was interested in. Plus, by doing the Foundation Program, I knew I'd get to start my film and tv degree a lot earlier. I really enjoy being in a university environment and having access to the uni's facilities, services and equipment. The teachers have been great and the help and advice I've received has been astounding. Everyone is friendly here; bullying is non-existent and we are treated like adults, not children.
