What is your ultimate ambition in life?
I want to be a specialist but, at this stage, I’m not really sure what in! Our clinical placements next year will give us the chance to work in all the major specialties so I’ll get a good idea of what really appeals to me.

How are Bond’s world-class professors helping you get there?
Our lecturers are all practicing GPs and specialists but they make themselves available to students whenever you need them. You never feel embarrassed about asking questions; you can email your professors and they’ll get back to you within a day. Because the class sizes are so small, we get heaps of practice on all the equipment and we get tested over and over again. The Medical School facilities are amazing too. We’ve got a brand new anatomy lab with all the best equipment.

My dad was really keen for me to study at Bond – he’s a doctor and a lot of the doctors he knows are encouraging their kids to come to Bond if they want to study medicine. I guess that says it all, really!

How is the international network of contacts you’re gaining at Bond helping bring your ambition to life?
Again, because of the small classes and the limited number of students studying medicine, you get to know everyone in your year. About 50% of our class are postgraduate students and it’s great to be able to draw on their knowledge – everyone helps each other. The social side of life at Bond is really good too – you get to meet people from all over the world.
