Career development support

Empowering career-ready graduates

It’s not always easy working out what you want to do, and how you want to do it. Here at Bond, the transition from university to employment starts from your earliest days on campus.

From Orientation to graduation, we encourage you to engage with the Career Development Centre, pursue opportunities to develop your employability, and learn about the full range of support services that will help you find your way in the world.

Home to Australia’s most employable graduates

Bond’s personalised career support is one of the reasons our graduates have been ranked number one in Australia for employer satisfaction, according to the Australian Government’s Employer Satisfaction Survey. We’re also rated five stars for employability in the recent QS Stars ratings.

Inside the Career Development Centre

Your one-on-one career consultants

Staffed by a dedicated team of career experts, the goal of the Career Development Centre (CDC) is not just to help find jobs for our graduates but to ensure that Bond students enter the workforce with the skills, experience and confidence to stand out to future employers.

The CDC team will work with you one-on-one, in group settings and online, helping you develop job applications and resumes, prepare for interviews and make connections with key employers. They will support you in organising industry placements, internships and even part-time jobs. They also host more than 50 employer events on campus each year, including workshops, seminars, networking events and our annual job and internship fair.

As a Bond alum, you will have lifetime access to the CDC team as your personal recruitment advisors.

A connected community

Create a valuable network from day one

Thanks to their industry experience, all of our academics have an extensive network of contacts in their relevant field. Those connections go even further through each Faculty’s established long-term partnerships with key industry players – from international hotel chains and development companies to Australia’s leading law firms, accounting practices, hospitals, healthcare clinics, sporting teams and more.

In classes, you will benefit from your academics’ industry contacts and partnerships to open doors to work experience and internship opportunities, and work on projects directly tied to industry. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to meet with future employers through introductions at on-campus events, guest lectures, industry conferences and inter-university competitions.
