Pathway To High Performance Science
Bond enables you to complete a Bachelor of Sports Science in just two years, which offers a direct pathway to Australia’s first Master of High Performance Science degree. The first of its kind in Australia, the masters degree will use an evidence-based approach incorporating problem-based learning to find out how we get our athletes to shave that extra 0.1 of a second off their time on competition day, or understand why players make poor decisions at critical junctures in a game. The role of high performance managers has increased in importance as factors such as technology, sponsorship, and media rights place greater demands on elite sportspeople.
Practical Work Experience
100 hours of professional experience is integrated into the Bachelor of Sports Science degree, with placements arranged by Faculty staff for students. The integrated learning program allows students to practice their learnings in real life environments and establish valuable industry contacts.
Higher Level Qualifications
Sports Science can lead to higher level qualifications in High Performance Science, Physiotherapy, Medicine, or a Honours qualification. You can also combine the Bachelor of Sports Science with other relevant undergraduate programs.
