Professional Outcomes

Students will be equipped with a range of management skills including project management, people, construction techniques, materials, plant and equipment knowledge, cost and time awareness, client relations, safety and law knowledge and, most particularly, an all-encompassing knowledge of sustainable development.

Graduates of the Master of Construction Practice program will have met the educational requirements to gain international accreditation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Graduates of the Master of Construction Practice program will have satisfied the technical requirements for an open builders licence in Queensland. Other criteria for licensing include financial and experiential requirements. Please refer to the BSA website for further information.

Further Study

Graduates can pursue research-based projects at the PhD level through the Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture.

Career Planning

The Mirvac School of Sustainable Development offers the services of an Industry and Student Placement Officer who is dedicated to assisting students add value to their study by undertaking an internship or work experience placement. The on-campus Career Development Centre offers an additional source of key employer contacts and online job listings on the Career Hub web portal.
