Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education

Description

The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education is the second in a suite of three courses in Master of Clinical Education program. It builds on the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education and is designed for health professionals who teach, mentor or supervise medical or health science students. The program aims to produce high quality graduates with the knowledge and skills to deliver quality education using a full range of contemporary teaching, learning, assessment and evaluation initiatives.

At the end of the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education, the graduates will also be able to:

  1. Apply their knowledge and use advanced problem solving skills in planning, implementing and assessing student centred learning
  2. Demonstrate capacity to use advanced leadership and management skills within a health professional setting
  3. Evaluate complex ideas and concepts at an abstract level
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of research principles and methods applicable to health education.

Professional Outcomes

The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education is intended to equip health professionals with advanced knowledge and skills to educate medical and health science students in the clinical and non-clinical education environment.
