Structure & Subjects
The Master of Arts program comprises 12 subjects, as follows:
Core Subjects (2)
NOTE: Core subjects must be completed in the first two semesters.
Foundation Subjects (8)
Students choose eight (8) foundation subjects* from the Humanities and Social Sciences Schedule of Postgraduate Subjects (School of Communication and Media, School of Humanities and School of Social Sciences), including two majors.
* PSYC71 coded subjects can only be undertaken within postgraduate Psychology degree programs, and are not permitted to be taken as electives within any other postgraduate programs.
Electives (2)
Students choose two (2) subjects, one of which must come from the H&SS list.
Students whose first language is not English may be permitted to include up to four subjects from the English as an International Language section (ENIL71-).
International Students
To fulfil your student visa requirements, you will need to enrol in 30 credit points per semester. However, you may enrol in 40 credit points per semester (with your Program Advisor’s authorisation), which will reduce the time to complete your program.
Domestic Students
Most students undertake four subjects (equivalent to 40 credit points) per semester. You may however, enrol in fewer subjects and extend your degree over a longer period.
Teaching Methodology
Bond University’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.
