Master of Business (Professional)
Duration: 13 Subjects (165 Credit Points) full-time; Flexible part-time study options are available for domestic students only
Description
The Master of Business (Professional) program is a valuable step for business people who are looking to change their professional focus. The program provides students with a solid foundation in a variety of business practices, plus the ability to gain a new specialisation. There are four separate streams: marketing, finance, international business or a customised program incorporating all three.
Work Integrated Learning
Work Integrated Learning is designed to promote student learning and professional practice. Students participate in a series of experiential exercises that may include field trips, guest lectures from industry leaders and projects. Academic staff and a career advisor monitor all exercises. The subject facilitates students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge to solve practical workplace problems.
Work Experience & Internships
Internships and work placements are encouraged within the Faculty. Some students without practical workplace experience, or with workplace experience in a field different from their studies, may consider undertaking an internship as part of their degree. Internships and work placements are subject to permission from the Faculty.
Professional Outcomes
Graduates should have highly developed planning, analytical and interpersonal skills that will enable them to professionally advance their career prospects in business. The program also provides global networking opportunities.
