Master of Construction Practice

Duration: 1 year 4 months full-time (4 semesters). Flexible part-time study is available to domestic students only. Intensive mode delivery available.
Starting: January, May, September

Program Description

The Master of Construction Practice focuses on the organisation and management of project resources (people, process, products, energy, finance and space) to deliver building projects on time, within cost and of defined scope and quality.

Work Experience and Internships

Internships and work placements are encouraged. They provide students with the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge learnt while studying and maximise opportunities for career progression after they complete their studies. An Industry Placements Officer assists students in sourcing work experience and internship opportunities.

Professional Outcomes

You will be equipped with a range of skills including project management, people management, construction techniques, materials, plant and equipment knowledge, cost and time awareness, client relations, safety and law, and most particularly, an all-encompassing knowledge of sustainable development.

Professional Recognition

This program has international accreditation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, national accreditation with the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and satisfies the Building Services Authority’s technical requirements for an Open Builder’s License in Queensland.
