Description

The Master of Financial Management (Professional) provides the skills and understanding necessary for those seeking a professional career in finance. Students complete 12 subjects and a 20-week Work Integrated Learning component.

This degree is suitable for graduates who are seeking the opportunity to convert to the discipline of finance with a qualification suitable for working in the industry. This program prepares students for finance work in the commercial sector and in private practice.

Students have the opportunity to gain financial trading experience by utilising the Macquarie Trading Room which is equipped with internal and external tickers, and dual screen technology displaying streamed data to simulate a real world trading environment.

Work Integrated Learning

Work Integrated Learning is designed to promote and support student learning, personal development and professional practice. The subject focuses on developing self-analysis and reflective learning skills, and applying theoretical solutions for practical workplace problems. Course content includes employability, Australian culture, workplace culture, economic structure and business institutions. Students participate in a series of experiential exercises that may include field trips, guest lectures from industry leaders and projects. Work Experience & Internships

Some students without practical workplace experience, or with workplace experience in a field different from their studies, may consider undertaking an internship as part of their Master of Financial Management (Professional) degree. Internships and work placements are subject to permission from the Faculty.

Professional Outcomes

The Master of Financial Management (Professional) prepares you for entry level positions in the finance industry in Australia and internationally. The degree meets the demands of industry and graduates may find employment as account managers, financial analysts and financial advisors.

Bond University is registered with Australian Securities Investment Commission for RG 146 compliance. Students must complete FINC71-600 Managerial Finance and FINC71-318 Personal Investments if they wish to meet the RG 146 compliance.
