Description
The Master of Laws (International Legal Practice) degree is an innovative program that combines a coursework Masters degree with a practical legal placement in a professional setting. Australian students may undertake the practicum overseas. In 2006 the French Bar School and Bond University entered into an agreement that would allow high calibre French students to undertake a special program of study in Australia. International students may undertake the practicum anywhere in Australia.
Work Experience & Internships
Students must complete a 13 or 26-week practicum at a private law firm or organisation employing in-house lawyers. Students have enhanced their global law experience by securing internships and work experience with top-tier law firms, including Baker & McKenzie (Sydney), Hachette Livre (France) and Thomas & Mayer & Associates (Hong Kong).
Professional Outcomes
The Master of Laws (International Legal Practice) program provides you with an international perspective on your Masters studies, as well as the experience of working in a law firm in another country. Graduates are now working as attorneys and barristers for the finest law firms across 18 countries, including Wragg and Co, London and Reed Smith, New York.
