Applications for this scholarship are currently closed.At Bond we look beyond academic achievement when searching for our next leading business executive, film producer, Olympian or senior legal counsel. The ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarships celebrate this by awarding sporting scholarships to outstanding sports men and women from around Australia. These scholarships open the door to applicants with high achievements in the sporting arena.
Value
- 25% tuition remission for a domestic student wishing to study any single undergraduate or postgraduate degree (excluding Bond University’s Medicine Program, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Masters of Psychology; Clinical and Forensic)
- $10,000 cash bursary awarded each year of the recipients degree at Bond University up to a maximum of 3 years *Please note; conditions apply.
Availability
Three ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarships are available in total.
Eligibility
- Available to Domestic students applying for a single undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
- Applicants must demonstrate outstanding and current involvement in their chosen sport (preference given to Olympic sports) via a detailed sporting resume and relevant references.
- Applicants must demonstrate leadership capabilities.
- Applicants must meet the prerequisites and the admissions entry standard for their chosen degree.
- Submission of a summary of achievements
- Submission of a 500-word personal statement outlining community involvement, leadership capabilities and their personal and sporting attributes.
Selection Criteria
Individual applications will be assessed for entry into Bond University and the personal statement will be assessed against our sporting criteria. Students must meet ALL eligibility criteria in order to apply for an ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship.
Application Submission
- Applicants must submit a completed Bond University Online Application Form by the ADCO Scholarship semester closing date.
- The application will be assessed for entry into Bond University and must successfully gain entry into their chosen program.
- All applications must be accompanied by a personal statement and a sporting resume and summary of achievements. Applicants may be asked to provide evidence of their sporting achievements to date.
- Students may contact their Regional Manager to discuss their eligibility requirements.
- Applications will close 2 months before the start of each semester on the following dates; May Semester 2012 - applications close Monday, March 12, September Semester 2012 - applications close Monday, September 10, January Semester 2013 - applications close Monday, November 19.
