Description

The Bachelor of Biomedical Science provides you with the opportunity to acquire outstanding technical skills in our state-of-the-art laboratories. This program develops your knowledge in the molecular, cellular, anatomical and physiological processes of the human body. Extensive laboratory training and problem solving exercises, together with a case study approach to teaching, demonstrates the applications of biomedical science within a variety of clinical, research and allied healthcare settings. You can choose from four majors of study: Laboratory / Research, Nutrition, Forensics or Pre-Health Professional. These majors will help you develop detailed knowledge and skills relevant to the particular discipline of study undertaken, and they provide structured pathways to specialist postgraduate study.

Graduates can undertake research-based Honours study leading to a PhD or undertake further study in medicine, pharmacy, nutrition and dietetics, medical laboratory science, exercise & sport science or rehabilitation.
