Description
The Bachelor of Forensic Science program is taught by internationally renowned forensic experts in DNA and forensic osteology such as Professor Angela van Daal. You are exposed to the essential elements of science including anatomy, biology, chemistry and forensics as well as relevant aspects of law. Learning in a highly personalised environment within small classes, you will have access to Bond University’s Legal Skills Centre to experience providing expert forensic evidence in a real court setting.

Work Experience & Internships
Students enrolled in a Bachelor of Forensic Science are eligible to undertake the elective subject Internship in Health Sciences (HLSC13-750). This industry experience subject is for Academic Credit and involves students gaining on-the-job practical experience within an organisation relevant to their studies.
Professional Outcomes
This program provides you with specialised scientific skills, along with a thorough understanding of the methods and standards used in forensic laboratories and the legal framework within which this work must be carried out. You will be well placed to seek employment in specialised forensic areas such as forensic laboratories, crime scene police sections and legal areas dealing with civil and criminal scientific matters. You will also have skills for a range of other scientific disciplines, and you may be able to progress to research-based Honours, Masters and PhD programs.
