Bachelor of International Hotel and Resort Management
Duration: 2 years full-time (6 semesters); Flexible part-time options are available for domestic students only
Description
The Bachelor of International Hotel and Resort Management program prepares you for professional and managerial roles in the global hotel and resort industry. You will complete a course of core business subjects and advanced hotel and resort management subjects. You will then have the option of completing a major in Event Management or Revenue Management.
Work Experience & Internships
You will complete 400 hours of work experience in a hotel, resort or associated industry to complement your theoretical knowledge of resort and hotel management. Work experience opportunities exist both locally and internationally providing students with industry relevant experience before graduation.
Please note: Work experience completed prior to the commencement of study in this degree does not count towards the 400 hours required.
Professional Outcomes
The Bachelor of International Hotel and Resort Management is a qualification accepted nationally and internationally by leading hotel and resort employers. Potential career pathways in the hotel and resort industry include: asset management, hotel management, resort management, valuation, marketing, planning and development, and hospitality consulting.
Combined Degrees
Students can undertake all current combined degree options. Our three-semester academic year can allow you to complete two degrees in the same time it takes to complete one degree at other universities.
