Bachelor of Tourism Management

Description
The Bachelor of Tourism Management prepares students for professional and managerial roles within the tourism industry. The degree offers a choice of two majors, Event Management or Revenue Management, allowing students to select an area of specialisation. These majors will assist in better defining the career outcomes of a Bachelor of Tourism Management.
Work Experience & Internships
You will complete 400 hours of work experience in a hotel, resort or associated industry, to complement your theoretical knowledge with practical skills. The faculty are currently developing work experience and internship opportunities with key members of the tourism industry, both in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
Please note: Work experience completed prior to the commencement of study in this degree does not count towards the 400 hours required.
Professional Outcomes
The Bachelor of Tourism Management program is a qualification accepted nationally and internationally by leading tourism organisations. You may find employment in tourism operations, attractions and theme parks, airlines, gaming, transportation, tourism planning and strategy, tourism marketing, tourism development, and tourism human resource management.
