Description
The Undergraduate Diploma in University English Studies program is a University Pathway program for students from non-English speaking backgrounds. The program provides you with advanced level English language on a for-credit basis, which allows you to enter the undergraduate program of your choice on successful completion of the Diploma. Please see the Credit Table for more information. The program also constitutes the first two semesters of a Bachelor of Arts (English as an International Language) program. You may elect to continue with this program instead of changing to a different undergraduate program.
Professional Outcomes
The successful completion of this program (with no further IELTS required) leads to three different outcomes:
- Graduate with a Undergraduate Diploma in University English Studies
- Apply for transfer to another degree program within Humanities and Social Sciences, Business, Law, Information Technology or Health Sciences and Medicine*
- Continue with the Bachelor of Arts (English as an International Language) which will require completion of a further 16 subjects
*With the exception of the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Forensic Science, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

There is no provision for internships or work experience in this program.
