Graduate Diploma of Psychology - Bridging Program

Duration: 2 Semesters Full-Time (commencing May only); Flexible Part-Time Available (domestic students only).

Description

The Graduate Diploma of Psychology is an accredited bridging program designed for students who have obtained undergraduate qualifications in a discipline other than Psychology. The program provides students with a scientific understanding of the core discipline areas of psychology (e.g., perception, memory, learning, motivation, psychobiology, personality, emotion, developmental psychology and social psychology, and abnormal psychology), and offers a pathway into the 4th year Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology program. Students participate in laboratory work and are introduced to the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics. Students receive training in a range of research methods and data analytic techniques that underpin the scientific nature of the discipline. At the completion of this program, students are well prepared to undertake semi-independent research in the 4th Year program.

This program is fully accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as an approved bridging program for entry into fourth-year study in psychology.
