WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE FOR ENTRY ?

We accept students who are 16 years and older.


Are preparatory programs offered?

Pathways to University study are offered:

  • BUELI's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course prepares international students for tertiary studies by providing English and academic study skills
  • Bond College offers a Foundation Program, successful completion of which ensures entry to most of Bond's undergraduate degree programs
  • The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a Diploma in University English Studies and a Graduate Certificate in University English Studies for international students with IELTS 5.5 or higher.

What kind of accommodation is available?

Mosty English students choose homestay initially, and then share apartments or houses. On-campus accommodation is available for students with a combined offer to study English plus a degree at Bond.

Do I have to take the IELTS test to study at Bond University?

BUELI's EAP course provides direct entry to most Bond degree programs. International students not taking EAP will require an IELTS result.


Can I drive in Australia?

Yes if you have an International Drivers’ license.


Can I work in Australia while I'm studying English?

If you are on a Student Visa you may apply to Immigration to work for up to 20 hours per week


What is the difference between the English courses offered at BUELI?

Are there many different nationalities studying at BUELI?

Can I extend my student visa in Australia?

Can my student visa be cancelled?

Yes it can through poor attendance or performance in class, or if you undertake criminal activity in Australia.


What happens if my student visa expires?

You will need to extend it BEFORE it expires or else you must return home.


Is it easy to change my visa from tourist to working holiday?

You can only get a Working Holiday visa from your home country, and only if your nationality is eligible for the Working Holiday visa..
