What subjects will I hear about?
It can be difficult to know exactly what you’d like to study when you leave high school, so Headstart Day provides lectures on a range of interesting topics designed to give you a taste of what it would be like to study a degree in a particular topic.
How much does it cost?
Headstart Day is free for high school students with morning tea and lunch provided. However, you may wish to bring money for snacks etc.
How do I register?
School Career Advisors will receive information about the program a few weeks prior to its commencement date. Interested students should visit their school Career Advisor to register and receive more information about the program, or contact us directly. Spaces are limited so it’s best to apply quickly so as to not miss this excellent opportunity.
What else do I need to know?
Students should not wear school uniforms as Headstart offers a taste of independent university student life. Students are also encouraged to bring a notepad and pen.
What other programs are similar?
If you have been to Bond University Headstart Day, Student for a Semester then allows you to enrol as a university student and study one subject in an area of interest to give you a more complete picture of what a full degree would be like.
